History

The Gasthof Keindl is one of the oldest properties in Niederaudorf (called “Hube”). Around 1270 the farm was listed among the dozen estates that were in Niederaudorf and at that time belonged to the Bavarian dukes as landlords.

Already from 1445 Wastl Huber was named as a host. So it can be agreed that the Gasthof Keindl has been run as an inn since 1445. The property had been owned by the Paur since 1681, then by the Keindl since 1847 and afterwards by the Waller since 1918. Beginning with 1847 the “Keindlhof” is mentioned in connection with butchery.

The Gasthof Keindl in Niederaudorf can thus look back on centuries-long inn traditions. When the refurbishment of the estate became necessary in 1977, it was not neglected to preserve the down-to-earth style in all modernization measures, especially in interior design. Since 2003 belongs to the Keindl the so called “Herrenhaus” as well as a wellness oasis in the Roman style. The main house has also been renovated in recent years and 4 new junior suites were added in 2016.

The agriculture is also pursued with great care at the “Keindl”. The animal-friendly breeding of our oxen in the newly built ox barn, as well as the professional slaughtering in our butchery enables to produce the best meat with consistent quality.

The family Waller already in the 6th generation considers it as an obligation to continue the traditions and strives to meet all the wishes and demands of their guests.
